EQUATORIAL GUINEA
Aeronautics asked from Ido cohen, from IDO4x4 to supply a fast, unique mission car to patrol and surveillant the borders of guinea
My job was to re design and adapt the ZIBAR designed early by other person.
My task started by changing every aspect of the suspension and stability beams of this unique 4x4.
Some unique features were made to allow very fast travel in bulky and hard terrain at speeds of 170 km/h
The car carries a retracted pole and on top surveillance equipment controlled from inside
the pole works pneumatically.
the cameras are very delicate and are attached to a gimbal cradle with all the degrees of freedom required to function in any weather condition.
to ease access to mantle the cameras prior of starting the mission, the rear spare wheel serves as a standing platform retracted with a motorized cable,
to stabilize the pole, a set of pneumatic feet were located at the rear bumper, but later on were removed due to practical problems
